STAKEHOLDER REPORT – FOLLOW-UP VISIT TO GERMANY – MARCH 2022
The focus of discussions was on defining
the relevant steps to reach financial close on the Prieska Power Reserve
Project. Important matters regarding
geotechnical studies & -requirements were addressed to ensure a detailed
design and costing by the contractors.
The scope of operations & maintenance services was also amongst the
discussions.
Carbon credits were also discussed. Prieska Power Reserve will qualify for the
voluntary carbon offset market, but with rising carbon taxes around the world,
the voluntary emission market price will eventually rise. Currently the Solar
and Wind production (MWh) of the PPR project can be registered on the available
platforms.
Once again, the visit to Germany was successful. Further support was achieved towards the
development and implementation plans of the project.
